Michael Amofah-Adjekum has over 17 years experience spanning the fields of audit, banking, accounting, petroleum, NGO and education.
Prior to joining Aguila Holdings, he was the Chief Finance Officer at Transnational Academic Group / Lancaster University Ghana.
His previous roles were as the Financial Controller – West Africa for the British Council; the Group Manager – Financial Accounting at Republic Bank (Ghana) Limited after working as Branch Manager. As the Finance/Commercial Manager at Chase Petroleum Ghana Limited, he was seconded to Tema Tank Farm Limited where he set up the Finance department and helped to commercialise the depot. He also started work as an entry level staff in the Audit Department of Guaranty Trust Bank (Ghana) Limited and rose to be Head of Multinational Unit – Corporate Banking.
He has consulted for several companies in the areas of financial reporting, taxation, payroll management, corporate governance, risk management, investment appraisal, business planning and strategy.
He is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA), a Chartered Tax Practitioner with the Chartered Institute of Taxation Ghana (CITG), and a Chartered Economist with the Institute of Chartered Economists Ghana (ICEG).
He has MBA Finance and BSc. Administration (Accounting) degrees from the University of Ghana Business School.
